DRIVER TRAINER SAYS “BTC KEEPS THEIR PROMISES TO DRIVERS”
Veteran
driver James Fluharty came to flatbed carrier BTC after nearly
three decades on the road where now, as a driver trainer, he
shares his experience with recent graduates.
“I enjoy working with new drivers and helping them start off
right”, says Fluharty. “BTC is a great place to build a career.”
One of the reasons Fluharty feels BTC is a good choice
for drivers is the company’s higher pay and good hometime.
“Weekends at home are very important to me. I want to spend time
with my wife, Tamy, and our children and grandchildren.” Then he
adds with a laugh. “Well, mostly the grandchildren.”
Fluharty says he emphasizes to young drivers the
importance of having a good relationship with dispatchers and
others in the company. “I have really good people to work with
and it makes all the difference in the world,” he says. “The
dispatchers always work with you to accommodate what you need.”
A resident of Middleton, WV (“home of the Great Pumpkin
Festival”), Fluharty says BTC has lived up to its promises to
him. “Whatever they told me they were going to do when I came
here, they’ve done,” he says. “The people at BTC keep their
word.”
